context

As an indie hacker, learning from people a few steps ahead on the journey not only keeps you motivated that your goal is achievable, but also gives you a lot of insights into some of the mistakes to avoid. In other words, it's literally a shortcut.

Unfortunately, it's still relatively hard for a maker today to find people with similar stories as their own. Neither IndieHackers.com, nor Twitter offer an adequate search/filter system for this.

Also, makers who create the content tend to have it distributed across different platforms (Twitter, Indiehackers, Newsletter, Blog, etc) making it hard to follow them from a single place.

the product

MakersList is a platform for finding indie makers and learning from them through their content.

MakersList features many makers that can be searched, and provides a strong filter system for discovering new ones based on specific criteria. For example, you can find "female makers living in Europe, who are building with code, full time and who have made more than $10K MRR with their product". Pretty specific, right?

In the future updates of MakersList, users will be able to create a unique dynamic feed based on set criteria and fetch content from people on the list, from the different sources where they create content.
